More Additions

These are our Bullmastiff/mastiff mixes Monty (in the back) and his sister Maggie.  They came from backyard breeders.  Monty came to us first.  His sister came from the next litter of puppies and the people asked us to give Maggie a home.  She had some flaws and they could not sell her.  She had a mis-aligned bite and some problems with the shape of her legs.  It did not slow her down in any way.  Monty and Maggie were inseparable.  They did everything together.  Anything Monty did, Maggie did too.  They both loved people and were a couple of big oafs - they weighed about 140 pounds each.  Maggie was almost as big as her brother but she did not look like him at all.  We think she was a throwback!  She was black and tan but looked like a mastiff.  They loved the cats and the cats snuggled right up to them.  They even loved to chase butterflies!

They are little feral kittens that we rescued.  Their sister Molly lives with a co-worker of Scarlett's.

Their mother disappeared when they were 3 weeks old.  The family that found them cared for them for a few weeks but could not keep them.  A relative was going to take them to a farm and dump them to live in the barns.  They could not have survived at their young age without a mother and we took them in.  Hunny and Bunny (the white & tiger girls) have grown into independent cats that want loving on their terms.  Zoom is just the opposite.  He is a snuggle bug and loves to ride on Kristie's shoulder.  The only problem is that he is a BIG cat and hangs over the front and back of her shoulder like a big slug!  Zoom is super smart and we teach him tricks to keep his mind occupied and keep him out of trouble!!!  His favorite trick is "Give me five".  He loves to show it off whenever someone comes over and of course he gets a treat every time he does it!
