CHARLI'S ANGELS PET REFUGE
At Charli's Angels, we are dedicated to providing a permanent, loving home to unwanted cats and dogs.
Charli is no longer with us, but she will live forever in our hearts!
When we began rescuing animals, we made a committment to provide a sanctuary for them where they could live out their lives in peace and security. We take care of as many animals as we can. For most of them, we are their final chance. Many of them are unadoptable and have health or behavioral issues. We discovered ebay as a way to provide for the animals in our refuge. Our ebay screen name is Lotsapets75. We find bargins and sell them at auction. It has enabled us to continue to provide a healthy, happy life to our four-legged family. Our priority is the happiness and comfort of our animal friends.
We now share our home with 2 dogs and 59 cats of all ages. We no longer have feral cats in outdoor colonies. The remaining ferals from our colonies were aging and we decided to bring them inside to live out their old age in warmth and comfort. Slowly, over time, they have started to trust us, especially when we toss treats to them. Flanders is starting to look for us when he wants a special treat of his own.
Every one in our animal family is spayed or neutered, and spoiled rotten! They continue to amaze us with the things that they do and we learn from them every day.
Cats are not solitary animals. Our cats not only prefer to have companions, they THRIVE on it! There are always cats sleeping together or grooming each other.
OUR DAYS ARE ALWAYS FILLED WITH WORK, PLAY AND LOTS OF AFFECTION AND SOMETIMES SADNESS
Because we rescue animals that come from many different situations, we see many health issues. In fact, our vet tells us that we have brought in animals with things she has only read about. Some can be helped but some don't make it. This is little Alissa. She came to us with her mother Bridget. Bridget lived in a barn for years having litter after litter. Very few of her kittens survived for more than a few weeks so she was constantly pregnant. She had given birth to three kittens when we were told about her. One kitten was found dead at 2 weeks of age. A second died 2 days later before we could get to the family. We took Bridget and Alissa the next day. Alissa was very sick and we rushed them both to the vet the same day. It took weeks of care to get Alissa on the road to recovery. She started to thrive and seemed to be on the road to good health. When she was about 9 months old she started to have signs of health problems again. Despite our efforts and our vet's, she just was not strong enough to make it. Sadly, we lost her when she was almost a year old. She had lots of good days where she played and cuddled with us and with her favorite kitty friends and we don't regret giving her a chance at life, a chance she would never have had living in the barn. Her mother Bridget is a sweet and loving cat who has a forever home with us.

Charli - a very
special cat!!
This is Charli. She was a very special cat. We started our pet reuge in her honor. She had the most wonderful personality and won over everyone who met her. We will always miss you Charli!
We have additions and losses as time goes on. Every day brings new experiences. Our life is never boring or dull and we're always busy! But the cats and dogs are always ready to give us unconditional love and attention to remind us of why we do this.
